World book day

Fleckney c of e Primary School have a day where everyone gets to dress up as a character from a book. We all came in fancy, made or bought costumes. 1 child from each year group gets an award for the best costume. The award is a book, a smaller book for the younger years and a bigger book for the older years. It was a exciting, adventurous day with all different story scenes, like survival, nature, mystery and loads more. Next year I hope it will be as exciting as this year, or even more exciting!

Biography and autobiography

In Year 6 we have been learning about biography and autobiography. We have also been set homework to write a biography on a person who changed history [in a good way]. Today [Tuesday] we have been interviewing another person and asked them questions and wrote notes down for tomorrow so we can write a biography on them. Last week on Thursday we brought in our ‘memory boxes’ with objects which are special, important or remind us of something or someone in our lives.

Rainforest ART

In Year 6 we have been doing art about the rainforest! So far we have: drawn pictures of different animals from the rainforest and put them on a display, done a poster about an animal we have researched about and designed a t-shirt we are yet to make! We are extremely excited as, as soon as we complete our t-shirts we are going to do a 'save the rainforest' catwalk in front of the whole school and show off our t-shirts! Of course this would not be possible without all the staff and  Mrs Tudor so a very big thank you to them all! :)

Then the models got judged by the school governors. The winning model from key stage one was by Jake and the winning model from key stage two was by Euan.

Red nose day!

On Friday we had red nose day but because we had ran out of noses so we didn't sell any noses on that day unfortunately. Mostly it was like a normal school day though, the only difference was that we had an afternoon assembly and some people wore something  red but besides that it wasn't too
different.
